Mangaluru, Sep 17 : ‘’A clean person is not the one that runs away from dirt but one who takes the time and effort to tidy-up a dirty environment”

In order to spread and recognise the Swachhata Awareness and implement it across the country, CBSE directed all its schools to observe the Swachhata Pakwada from September 1st to 15th, 2019.

Under this directive, St. Agnes CBSE School, Bendore, Mangaluru enthusiastically organised activities to achieve the vision of a clean India. Awareness on Swachhata and personal hygiene were highlighted during the morning assembly throughout the week. The teachers gave talks on awareness of Dengue and Malaria. The students took part in poster making and drawing competition on the theme ‘Swachh Bharat’. These posters were displayed around the school premises. The teachers and the students participated in cleaning the classroom as well as the school premises. There was a small symposium on ‘Hand Wash’ where the procedures of hand washing were demonstrated and much appreciated by the children.

The ‘Swachhata Pakwada’ week ended with a rally by holding placards and shouting slogans on Swachhata. Prizes were distributed to further felicitate the students.

All the above activities conducted by the school, enabled it to take the mission of cleanliness across communities, thereby creating mass awareness.
