Moodbidri, Nov 16 : “Children are the World’s most valuable resources and best hope for the future.”

The Children’s Day was celebrated at Carmel School CBSE Moodbidri on 14th of November 2022 in all its radiance, drive and liveliness. The celebration began with Eucharistic Banquet celebrated by Fr. Ivan Pinto Capuchin thanking the Lord for his numerous blessings bestowed on every child.

This was followed by the celebration in the school auditorium commemorating the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, who was known to have been fond of children. Children came in their colourful attire and experienced their joy of this day with fun and frolic. The event began with a meaningful prayer session invoking God’s blessings on all the children around the world and especially on the school. Guests for the programme were SPL Aaron Dsouza and ASPL Delroy Dsouza. Tr. Sonia DSouza welcomed the gathering with her welcome speech. A floral tribute was paid to the first Prime Minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru by SPL Aaron Dsouza and ASPL Delroy Dsouza lit the lamp.

This was followed by a creative welcome dance by the teachers. The mesmerising performance of the day were the dances performed by the teachers and a value based skit was enacted brought cheer to the students. The wishing song highlighted that children are precious to the teachers. The students were overwhelmed with the efforts of the teachers and applauded the teachers for their commendable performance. Fun spot entertaining games were conducted for the students by Tr. Shiny, which the students enjoyed to the full. Prizes were distributed among the winners. Students also enjoyed the day with the videos played on their awesome and adorable moments at school. Children also took part in creative talent competitions like vegetable printing, chart making on a balanced diet (food pyramid), cooking without fire, vegetable/fruit carving. The winners of the competition were felicitated with certificates.

The Principal Sr. Jyothi in her address, greeted the students. She appreciated the students for bringing joy into the lives of a teacher. She also motivated and inspired children to work hard and urged the students to be confident and take up their responsibility.

The program ended with words of appreciation and gratitude from the SPL Aaron Dsouza. Tr. Shanthi and Sir Prajwal compered the program by adding radiance to the celebration.

The celebration came to an end after being served with sweets. Overall the programme was fantabulous and will always remain a memory to one and all.
