Pamboor, Sep 8 : For the first time in the history of Holy Cross Church, Pamboor, Nativity feast mass was celebrated by Bishop Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo on Sept 8, 2019. The mass was con-celebrated by parish Priest Rev. Fr. Henry Mascarenhas.

The ceremony started with blessing of the newly grown paddy crop near the grotto. The blessed paddy was brought in procession and placed at the altar by Gurkaars of 14 wards.The liturgy was conducted by the children of the parish.

During the homily Bishop Gerald Isaac Lobo addressed about the importance of the day as the feast of family, Birthday of Mother Mary and day of Women. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fr. Henry thanked everyone who helped in making the ceremony and 9 day novena successful. Blessed candles were distributed for the sponsors. The blessed paddy was distributed to the parishioners by the Gurkaars. Sugar cane and cake was distributed to the parishioners. Hundreds of Parishioners took part in the ceremony.
