Tanzania, Nov 12 : 3 children of Kifaru Parish got the first communion in the Kivisini substation on 11th November 2018. Fr. Hilary Lobo the Parish Priest celebrated the Eucharist and gave a meaningful Homily. Fr. George Crasta gave the communion to the children. Mr. Simon the Catechist prepared the children for the first communion. Sisters prepared a meaningful liturgy and also decorated the altar and the church. The choir from Jipe Substation added colour to the programme by their melodious singing.

Kivisini is a small substation having 9 catholic families. It is 15 k.m. away from the Kifaru parish Church. Around 125 people were present for the Eucharistic celebration.

After the mass, all gathered in the house of the Catechist where all had felicitation to the first communion children and a fellowship meal. About 300 people were present for the fellowship programme. It was really a wonderful experience where Muslims and people of other denomination of the surroundings of Kivisini gathered together to celebrate the first communion of three little children.
