Nirmalpadav - Parapady, March 10 : The  Jeevan Jyothi Unit  (Women’s Association Wing of Sampada Udupi) of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour church, Nirmalpadav, Parapady celebrated ‘Women’s Day’ at the church on 3rd March 2024. 

The formal function began with a Holy Eucharistic Celebration led by Fr Denis  Dsouza, Parish Priest.

The liturgy of this celebration was conducted by the women's commission of the parish.

During his homily Fr Denis said , “I have fond memories of my mother and her affection and faith towards me. I grew up with lots of love and care which is part of my success today. A woman must not restrict herself to only domestic work for she deserves better. Women must participate in the political arena too. A woman’s existence makes us rich and helps us to lead a successful life.”
 
Fr Denis , blessed the gathering. Resource Person Mrs.Pushpa Latha was felicitated for being a resource person and educating on the awareness of Women Health. They congratulated the women’s association on creating a new unit at Manipal, which is a wing of the Udupi church.
 
The resource person of this programme, Pushpa Latha spoke on the topic of " Today’s  Health Issues In Women".

In total 40 women were present during this celebration.

Mr. Arun Dsilva , Vice president, Mrs . Anitha Dsa , secretary of the parish pastoral council along with Mrs Jacintha Dsa coordinator of 21 commissions was present.

Mrs . Precilla Lobo, president of the women's commission and coordinators of the women's commission were also present.
