Mangaluru, Sep 26 : Fr Franklin D'Souza led two days' healing retreat for the Catholic students of School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya , Mangaluru on September 23rd & 24th, 2022.

Retreat began on September 23rd Friday at 9:30am. Ms. Vandana D'Souza introduced Fr Franklin D'Souza and Principal Sr Juliet welcomed Fr Franklin D'Souza and the JY team of Praise and Worship. Then Mr. Brian and team led the Praise and Worship. At 10:15am Fr Franklin D'Souza spoke on "Power of the Word of God", he based his preaching on Luke 5:1-11. At 11:30am Fr Franklin D'Souza led the Holy Eucharist and preached a homily on "Jesus is the saviour and love of God".

After the lunch break at 1:45pm, the JY team led by Mr. Brian conducted the praise and worship. At 2:15pm Mrs. Corine Rasquinha shared the Word of God and her testimony. At 3pm healing adoration was led by Fr Franklin D'Souza and the JY team. Fr Franklin D'Souza explained the importance of reconciliation and healing. Then he prayed the prayer of healing. Retreat concluded at 4:30pm.

On September 24th, Saturday retreat began at 9:30am with Praise and Worship led by Mr. Sooraj Noronha and the JY team. At 10:15am Fr Franklin D'Souza spoke on "Repentance". He prepared students for a good Confession. From 11:30am confessions were organised. Eight priests helped students for confessions. Meantime adoration was led by Mr. Sooraj Noronha. At 12:30pm Fr Franklin D'Souza led the healing service.

After the lunch break at 1:30pm Mr. Sooraj Noronha and team led the praise and worship. At 2:15pm Fr Franklin D'Souza spoke on "Forgiveness brings healing". At 3pm he offered Holy Eucharist and preached a homily on "Holy Spirit - the gift of God". End of the mass he led the anointing session and prayed over the students.

Principal Sr. Juliet thanked Fr Franklin D'Souza and the JY team for helping students to strengthen their faith.
