Bantwal, Sep 26 : ICYM  Salethur unit in collaboration with YCS Salethur unit organised “Teachers' Day” celebration for all  catechism teachers of the parish on Sunday 25th September 2022 at Salethur church mini hall. Rev.Fr. Henry Dsouza SFX - director of ICYM Salethur unit and St. John Paul  II Vittla deanery, Mr. Mithun Veigas- Vice president of Salethur parish, Mrs. Nathaliya Cutinha- Animator of ICYM Salethur unit, Mrs. Philomena- Animator of catechism teachers, Avil Rodrigues- President , Avil Lobo- Treasurer of St.John Paul  II Vittla deanery, Manvith Veigas President of ICYM Salethur unit were present.

The programme commenced with a short prayer song. The Unit President Manvith Veigas welcomed the gathering. The guest inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp.

Rev.Fr. Henry Dsouza director of ICYM Salethur unit and St.John Paul  II Vittla deanery addressed the gathering and spoke about importance of teachers and their role in students development.

To make this day a special one, Lavisha Dsouza- Secretary of Salethur Unit and St.John Paul II Vittla Deanery entertained the teachers and the gathering by conducting individual  games. All the teachers actively participated in the activities. After the games on this very occasion of “Teachers' Day”, ICYM Salethur unit presented  gifts to all the teachers to commemorate their efforts.

YCS Salethur Unit President Vincita Dsouza gave vote of thanks. The day concluded with lunch and some dessert.
