Bantwal, Oct 22 : As a memory of post centenary Silver jubilee year of St Joseph church Borimar, inauguration of new project was held on Sunday, October 21, 2018. The new project is about building homes to the homeless of the Parish.

The Eucharistic Mass was celebrated by Most Rev. Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore diocese. He blessed and laid the foundation stone. He appreciated in his speech saying "small parishes like Borimar has started a great work and been a role model for others". Vice president, Mr Roshan Boniface Martis read the felicitation letter.

The money saved instead of burning crackers, band and other things was given to Bishop to help the needy. Bishop appreciated parish priest, Rev Fr Gregory Pereira, vice president and Parish Pastoral Council members for organizing such a wonderful event and was amazed by the works that people have come up with. As a token of grrattitude he gave mementos to the sponsorers.

Breakfast was served to all after Mass. YCS students helped as volunteeres to serve breakfast.
