Fajir, Aug 19 : Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Fajir unit conducted "RISE AND SHINE - for Christ " for ICYM-YCS members of Fajir parish on 15th August 2022 at 2:30pm in Fajir church hall.

ICYM Fajir unit director Rev. Fr. Anil Joel D souza, Resource person Veena Vas, ICYM Mangalore diocese vice-president Winston Joel Sequeira, ICYM Fajir unit president Jaison D souza, Secretary Laveena Vinitha Almeida, YCS Fajir unit president Freadon Crasta were present on the dais.

Program started with a prayer song led by ICYM members. Jaison D souza, President of ICYM Fajir unit welcomed the gathering. Programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the dignitaries. The Preamble of the Indian constitution was read.

Rev. Fr. Anil Joel D souza, Director of ICYM Fajir unit wished all the youths on the occasion of National youth day and congratulated ICYM for organizing such an event and also addressed about the unity required among youths and also encouraged YCS members to join ICYM in upcoming days.

The resource person of the programme Veena Vas spoke  about the benefits after joining ICYM. This session had many fun filled activities and group activities were conducted by Winston Joel Sequeira and Veena Vas.

After the session, Laveena Vinitha Almeda, Secretary of ICYM Fajir unit rendered vote of thanks. Viyolla Lobo compered the programme. The programme concluded with ICYM theme song.

Refreshments were served to all youths who attended this programme. Around 45 youths participated enthusiastically. The programme ended with a Baila dance.
