Madanthyar, Aug 23 : Sacred Heart Church Madanthyar under the leadership of Family Commission, Labour Commission and Small Christian Community Commission organised Couples Day ("Kazaryancho Dees") on 21st of August, 2022. Nearly 350 couples of the parish were present.

Program began with the Eucharistic celebration offered by Rev Fr Anil Alfred D'Souza , Director of Diocesan Family Life Center. After the mass breakfast was served.

The Inaugural program was held at 10.30a.m. Parish Priest Rev Fr Basil Vas spoke on the importance of family life and the responsibility of the parents towards the building of the Catholic Church.

After that sessions were taken by Mr Alban Rodrigues, Mr Paul Andrade and Mr & Mrs Melwin and Neetha Fernandes.

Couples who completed 50 years of their togetherness in married life were honoured. Program was concluded with Meal.

The organisers are grateful to Parish Priest Rev Fr Basil Vas, Fr William D'Souza, Fr Jerome D'Souza, Fr Deepak Dsa, Mr Leo Rodriguez Vice President of Parish Pastoral Council, Mr Jerald Moras Secretary of Parish Pastoral Council , Mr Vivek Vincent Pais Co-ordinator of Parish Pastoral Council, Mr Henry Monteiro Coordinator of Family Commission, Mr Philip Dcunha Coordinator of Labour Commission and Mr Vincent Sequeira Coordinator of Small Christian Community Commission and all the Ward leaders, ICYM members and Parishioners who supported for the success of this event.
