Kinnigoli, Aug 9 : "SYNERGY 2023" - an event to reconnect and reunite the youth of St. Jude Mangalore North Deanery was organised on 30 July 2023 in Kirem Church Hall. The registration commenced exactly at 8:30 am followed by the inaugural ceremony at 9:00 am. Breakfast was served simultaneously.

The dignitaries for the program Rev Fr Oswald Montero Parish priest and Director of ICYM Kirem unit, Rev Fr Lancy Saldanha Director St Jude Mangalore North Deanery, Rev Fr Praveen SVD, Mithesh Dsouza President ICYM Central Council and Rohan Dcosta Vice President Kirem Parish Pastoral Council, ICYM President Lester Lasrado, ICYM Secretary Loyd Dsouza were present on the dais.

The Deanery President welcomed the gathering followed by speeches from Fr.Lancy Saldanha and Fr Oswald Montero .

The core committee of the deanery continued the day with some Ice-breaking activities and action songs at 9:45 AM.

Mr.Waslter Nandalike, Director of DaijiWorld conducted a session on the topic "Media and Self Growth" which included active participation by the deanery youth.

The Second session was conducted by Rev.Fr Faustine Lucas Lobo, director of ICYM Kinnigoli Unit on the topic of “Leadership and Commitment”.

At 12:15 PM , a special mass was offered to the youths and was celebrated by Fr.Praveen SVD.

The food was served at 1:00 PM. Later on from 1:40 PM onwards the day went by including varieties of fun filled games, activities and action songs conducted by Mr.Norbert Misquith , 6 groups were made among the 84 youth members of the deanery. In those groups , they learnt how to work as a team, to encourage not only themselves but also others to actively participate in it.

Ice cream was distributed among everyone, the program was concluded by singing the Dhey Geeth. And of course Baila!!

SYNERGY 2023 was an overwhelming success, providing a unique opportunity for all the youth to reconnect, create cherished memories, and strengthen their bonds as a community. It was a day filled with learning, playing, and laughter, leaving an indelible mark in the hearts of all those who attended.
