Bantwal, Aug 13 : ICYM Loretto along with the youth commission organized 'Gadyanth Ek Dees' - Season 3 for all the parishioners on 31st July 2022 in Mr Charles D'souza's field of Dolours Ward. The Program commenced at 10:30 am with the prayer song.

Parish priest and ICYM director Rev Fr Francis Crasta, Nirmala Convent Superior Sister Agnes Andrade, Parish council Vice President Mr Roy Carlo, Parish council Secretary and ICYM Animator Mr Alwyn Pinto, Parish All Commissions Director Mr Cyprian Dsouza, Mr Felix Rodrigues, Dolours Ward Gurkar Mrs Sunitha Crasta, Mr Ratnakara Poojary, ICYM Karnataka province vice president Mr Terrence Crasta , ICYM Karnataka province Representative Ms Viola Lewis, ICYM Bantwal Deanery President Mr Melroy Dsouza, ICYM Bantwal Deanery Secretary Ms Preema Monteiro , ICYM Loretto unit President Ms Melisha Sequeira and ICYM unit Sports Secretary Mr Leeshan Rodrigues were present on the dias.

ICYM President Melisha Sequeira welcomed the gathering. The event was inaugurated by pouring paddy husk to the vessel. Parish priest delivered an insightful message regarding the rural tradition and culture and well appreciated the youth for organising the event. 

Mr Felix Rodrigues was felicitated for his massive help and generosity towards the event. Owner of the field Mr Charles dsouza , Sponsors of Buffaloes Mr Arun Dsouza along with his mother Mrs Monthi dsouza were felicitated. Mr Ratnakara Poojary was felicitated for providing electricity , water and cooking arrangement.

The games were inaugurated by buffalo race which attracted all the parishioners. Many games were conducted such as Running race, Bomb in the city, Reverse Race , Spoon and ball race, Kabbadi, Pyramid , Relay, Piggyback, 3 leg race, 'Povlicho game' etc. Parishioners actively participated in all the categories.
Games were conducted ward wise. Winners trophy was bagged by Dolours Ward and Runners trophy by Arla 2nd ward.

In the closing ceremony , Loretto school principal Rev Fr Jason Monis and youth commission head Mr Kevin Dsouza along with Parish priest and the dignitaries were present.

ICYM Loretto Unit Lady Vice President Ms Snehal Rosario delivered vote of thanks. Ms Jenita Lasrado compered the programme.

Overall it was a fun filled day which led to socialization among the community and brought up team spirit and unity among everyone.
