Mangaluru, Sep 9 : A day of Prayer and Reflection was organized in St Joseph the Worker Church, Neermarga by parish priest Rev Fr Anil Canute D Mello on 5th September, 2022 that indeed helped the participants to cultivate self-awareness and inner peace and maintain deep relationship with Mary, Mother of God.

Rev Fr Anil D Mello set the tone for a refreshing morning by according a warm and hospitable welcome to The Retreat Preacher, Rev Fr. Rudolf Pinto OCD.

The Retreat began at 8.30 am with the Novena Mass, Prayers and strewing of Flowers. In the First Session the rumination was centered around the origins and importance of the Scapular.

The second session was through vivid explanation, narration of anecdotes and reflections on Mary’s Apparitions, the Preacher exhorted the congregation to action to strengthen their faith.

In the Third Session Rev Fr Rudolf Pinto stressed on the themes: ‘ Being a Shepherd Leader at Home’, The Colosseum: The Power, Brilliance and Brutality ‘and the Laws of Love by Ven. Fulton J Sheen. The retreatants then went into confessions to the awaiting Priests.

The Retreat was crowned with Eucharistic Adoration.

On the whole it was precious time for the parishioners to withdraw a couple of hours from the noise and cares of earthly life in order to spend some quality time in communion with the Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent God.
