Mangaluru, Dec 2 : Indian Catholic Youth Movement Unit of St Lawrence Church, Bondel organized "SMASH IT UP" badminton tournament  for parishioners on 26th November 2022 at  5:00 P.M at St. Lawrence school ground, Bondel. Registration was conducted at 4:40 pm and 21 teams registered for the same.

The event "SMASH IT UP" began with the prayer service conducted by the ICYM members. Joxim D'cuhna the president of Bondel Unit welcomed the guest and gathering.

Inaugural function was presided over by Rev. Fr. Peter Gonsalves - Director  of ICYM Bondel Unit along with other dignitaries Rev. Fr. Lancy D'Souza - Assistant Parish Priest of St. Lawrence  Church Bondel, Joxim D'cuhna - The President of ICYM Bondel Unit and Avril Olive Misquith - Secretary of ICYM Bondel Unit.

Rev. Fr. Peter Gonsalves gave a beautiful message to all the gathering.

Avril Olive Misquith the secretary of ICYM Bondel Unit proposed  vote of thanks. All the well wishers and the ones who sponsored were honoured.

Nihal D'Souza and Oniel Pinto served as referees of the event.

The event was categorised into men's doubles and women's doubles. The winners are as follows.
Men's :  
Calvin & Vivian bagged 1st place,  Loel & Francis bagged 2nd place.
Women's:
Jessica and Bianca bagged 1 st place , Sunitha & Jeslin bagged 2nd place .

Nihal D'Souza and Oniel Pinto were honoured for their service. The event ended at 8:30.
