Mangaluru, Feb 10 : ICYM Episcopal City Deanery organized Badminton Tournament "ECD Cup – 2020" for youths of Episcopal City Deanery, on 9th February 2020, at Fr Muller’s Indoor Stadium here from 9:30AM onwards. Tournament began with Prayer song led by Dheeraj Lobo and team.

V. Rev. Fr J. B. Crasta - Vicar Forane, Episcopal City Deanery was the Chief Guest for the inaugural ceremony and Rev. Fr. Ajith Menezes - Administrator Fr Muller’s Medical College, Rev. Fr. Anil Lobo, Rev. Fr. Anil Pinto - Director ICYM Episcopal City Deanery, Leon Saldanha – President ICYM Central Council Mangalore Diocese, Delitia Pereira – President ICYM Episcopal City Deanery were present on the dais.

Delitia Pereira welcomed the guests and the gathering. The tournament was inaugurated by the guests by playing Badminton. V. Rev. Fr. J. B. Crasta addressed the gathering. Total of 33 teams participated in the tournament.

Referees for the tournament were Rev. Fr. Anil Lobo, Mr. Chandrashekar and Mr. Jayaprakash.

Valedictory program commenced at 3:30PM and was presided over by Rev. Fr. Ronald D’Souza – Director ICYM Central Council Mangalore Diocese and Rev. Fr. Anil Lobo, Rev. Fr. Anil Pinto – Director ICYM ECD, Leon Saldanha – President ICYM Central Council Mangalore Diocese, Veena Vas – General Secretary ICYM Central Council Mangalore Diocese, Minol Braggs – PRO ICYM Central Council Mangalore Diocese and ECD Representative, Delitia Pereira – ICYM ECD President, Sonali Rodrigues – ICYM ECD Secretary were present on the dais.

As a token of gratitude, mementos were given to the referees by Rev. Fr. Anil Pinto. Rev. Fr. Ronald D’Souza addressed the gathering and congratulated the participants for active participation in the tournament. Prizes were distributed to the winners and runners up by Rev. Fr. Ronald D’Souza.

Rev. Fr. Anil Pinto rendered the vote of thanks. Dheeraj Lobo – ICYM ECD Sports Secretary and convenor of ECD CUP-2020 compered the program.
