Puttur, July 14 : "Laudato Si" Sunday was celebrated on 09 July 2023 in the Mai De Deus Church premises. It was organized by ICYM and commission for ecology and environment with the cooperation of Catholic Sabha, Don Bosco Club, CLC, YCS, Women Association, Legion of Mary, Christopher Association, Commission for Family, Commission for Labour and Commission for Justice, Peace.

ICYM president Royston DSouza delivered a speech on the importance of preserving the environment. Parish priest Rev. Fr. Lawrence Masacrenhas, Assistant Parish priest Fr. Lohit Ajay Mascarenhas, Parish Vice president, ICYM members were present.

Saplings were distributed to the parishioners as a mark to plant and nourish them.
