Manjeshwar, Sep 5 : The Snehalaya Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Center for Men and Women, Manjeshwar, was transformed into a haven of joy and vibrant colors as it celebrated 'The Colour Onam 2K23' with immense fervor and enthusiasm. This unique event, held on 4th September 2023, was a testament to the organization's commitment to promoting mental health and well-being while embracing cultural diversity.

Onam, the harvest festival of Kerala, is celebrated with gusto across the southern state. However, at Snehalaya, it took on a special significance as residents and staff came together to create a memorable experience for all involved. The event aimed to foster a sense of community, promote mental well-being, and reintegrate individuals into society.

The Rehabilitation Center's premises were adorned with traditional Onam decor, including floral rangolis (Pookalams) and colorful floral arrangements.

Residents donned traditional Kerala attire, with women wearing elegant sarees and men in white dhotis and shirts, all lit up with infectious smiles.

Adding to the festivities, 'Thiruvathira Kali' performance was organized, captivating the audience with graceful dance moves and synchronized steps. Traditional Onam Sadya, the grand feast, was prepared and served by the residents themselves, demonstrating their culinary skills.

Bro Joseph Crasta, the Director of Snehalaya, expressed his delight at the success of 'The Colour Onam 2K23' celebration, saying, "Onam represents the spirit of togetherness and the joy of giving. We believe that celebrating festivals like Onam not only brings joy but also contributes positively to the mental well-being of our residents.
