Moodbidri, Aug 25 : Indian Catholic Youth Movement St. Mathew's Deanery Moodbidri organized Anointed Reigning Mighty Youth (A.R.M.Y) Deanery Youth Convention on 21/08/2022 at Hospet Church Hall.

Inaugural function was presided over by Rev Fr Prem Prakash Cutinha - Deanery Youth Director. Mr. Joseph Michael Pereira - Ex-President ICYM Mangalore Diocese was the Chief Guest. Rev Fr Gregory DSouza - Parish Priest of Hospet ; Winston Joel Sequeira - Vice President and Brendon Cutinha - Red Drop Coordinator of ICYM Central council Mangalore Diocese were the other dignitaries on the dais along with ICYM Moodbidri Deanery President Mithesh DSouza and Secretary Joyston DSouza.

Program commenced with prayer service led by ICYM Hospet Unit. Mithesh DSouza welcomed the gathering, Inauguration was done by Lighting the Lamp. 
 

Mr. Joseph Michael Pereira on the absence of Mr. Jaison Pereira Shirthady ; Mr. Jaison Crasta Mogarnad; Ms. Vishma DCunha Cascia; Mr. Jevish Fernandes Moodbidri and Mr. Rakesh Rego Siddakatte were honoured during the program.

Rev Fr Gregory Dsouza addressed the gathering and expressed his views on the challenges of the youths of the current generation.
 
Chief Guest Mr. Joseph Michael Pereira appreciated the work of the Executive Committee for organizing the event and also asked the youths to be good leaders for the benefit of our community.
 
Deanery Director Rev Fr Prem Prakash Cutinha shared his ideas on “Qualities of Ideal Youths of the Present Generation”.
 
Deanery Secretary Joyston Dsouza rendered a vote of thanks and Rostan Lobo compered the inaugural program. 
 
After the Inaugural Program, A session on “Responsibilities and Qualities of Good Leaders in Society” was conducted by Resource Person Mr. Manoj Fernandes Kirem. 
 
Ms. Renisha DCosta welcomed and Mr. Ronson Crasta thanked the resource person. 
 
Alrick Livian DSilva Joint Secretary of Central Council-Diocese of Mangalore visited the event.
 

Holy Mass was held for all the youths gathered for the Youth Convention. Rev Fr Prem Cutinha was the celebrant of the Holy Eucharist. Liturgy service was led by the members of Deanery Executive Committee.

The afternoon session began with an Ice-Breaking session by the Diocesan Executive Committee led by Mr. Anil Sequeira - President; Ms. Delitia Asumptha Pereira – Lady Vice President ; Ms. Philomena Fernandes – Public Relation Officer; Mr. Sushanth Samson Fernandes – Nominated Member and Mr. Terrence Levy Crasta – Regional Vice President.
 
Mr. Pradeep Prajwal Rosario, Ex Nominated Member of Central Council , Mangalore Diocese led a session on 'Need for Blood Donation and its Requirements' and explained in detail about the Red Drop Application.

 

This was followed by fun-filled activities and games, where all the youths participated actively and got to know each other better. 
 
All those who celebrated their birthday in the current month i.e. August were wished with a cake cutting celebration. 
 

Every unit was given a chance to perform on stage. Members of ICYM Moodbidri Deanery Executive Committee performed as well.

Token of Gratitude were given to all who worked behind the success of the event. The programme concluded with Baila dance. Breakfast, Lunch and Tea in the evening were served.
