In 1933, the Italian Missionary Fr. Angelo Gaviraghi sj founded this mission and in 1935 this mission station was dedicated to St Victor on the Silver Jubilee of the priesthood of Bishop Victor R. Fernandes. The church building was completed in 1939 and inaugurated on April 16, 1940. Fr. John M. Menezes was the first missionary parish priest.
In 1936 Fr Angelo Gaviraghi built the belfry. The existing presbytery built by Fr Gregory Serrao was inaugurated on May 5, 1987 and the Grotto built by Fr Boniface D’Souza was inaugurated on April 11, 1993.
Rev. Fr. Antony Lasrado renovated the church building during the Platinum Jubilee Celebration in 2009.
The platinum jubilee celebrations and blessing of the renovated St Victor's church was held on Tuesday, April 14, 2009.
The renovated church was blessed by Bishop Aloysius Paul D'Souza of Mangalore. He also inaugurated the renovated presbytery and blessed the newly-erected altar of the church. The church was inaugurated by Rudolf Mascarenhas. The newly-built Grotto of the church too was blessed on the occasion.
After the inauguration and blessing of the church, Bishop Aloysius celebrated the solemn Eucharistic celebration. Parish priest Fr Anthony Lasrado and many priests and religious from the deanery as well as other places concelebrated the Eucharist. Hundreds of parishioners partook in the Eucharist with great devotion and solemnity.
Later a formal stage programme was held to mark the platinum jubilee of the church. Mulky-Moodbidri MLA Abhaychandra Jain was the chief guest of the programme.
