Mangaluru, May 29 : Rachana, the Catholic Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a members' meeting at Mangalore Club on 28 May 2023 at 7:00 pm. Mr. Michael Dsouza, NRI Entrepreneur and Philanthropist was the Chief Guest and The KeyNote Speaker.

Mr. Dsouza spoke about the power of perseverance and overcoming adversities in business. He spoke about his own life journey from a small town Puttur.

Mr. Dsouza started his business at a young age, in Puttur, moved on to Mangalore city. Later he crossed the Indian boundary to travel to the UAE. In UAE, Mr. Dsouza did his own research and market study about the Business Potential in UAE.

Real Estate Business Potential was found to be his forte, he started his own business with some local help. Mr. Dsouza did well for himself and invested more into business.

His sincerity and trust was taken for a ride when his own trusted people duped him on a large scale. This brought down his business but not his grit and spirit. He re-started and kept going forward. His wife Mrs. Flavy stood by his side like a rock support and they moved on.

Mr. Dsouza spoke about his integrity and faith in God that didn't deter his spirit during his tough testing times.

His advice to the young and not so young entrepreneurs present in the audience was : "Your heart and mind should feel the same as what you talk about. Your business should have financial transparency. Hard work, knowledge about your job and proper management of finance is key to success in business". He reiterated that "Your name as in reputation should be intact even if your business fails".

All the Rachana Members and family and everyone gathered in the audience truly appreciated the talk.

Mr. Vincent Cutinha, President of Rachana welcomed the gathering. Vice President CA Rudolph Rodrigues introduced the guest to the gathering. Mr. Leslie Rego, governing body member compered the program. Treasurer Mrs. Eulalia Dsouza proposed Vote of thanks.

Meeting ended with dinner.
