Puttur, Sep 19, 2022 : An induction and orientation programme for the Freshers was organised at St Philomena College here recently. Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, Principal of the College presided over the programme and said about the reliability of the self to achieve success in life. While saying that the roots of education may be bitter but fruits of education are always sweet , he stressed upon self discipline in the formative years of one's education and how perfection could be achieved.

Dr A P Radhakrishna, IQAC Coordinator of the College spoke on Quality Assurance in Higher Education and different quality parameters. He stressed the need for the efforts to attain excellence in the education.

Prof .Ganesh Bhat K ,Staff Secretary took a session on” Examination and Evaluation under NEP” . In the session he elaborated on various aspects such as Discipline Specific Core Courses, Discipline Specific Electives and Open Elective Courses for different Streams.

Mr Vinayachandra, Dean of Dept of Computer Science oriented BCA students on the occasion. LT. Johnson David Sequeira , NCC Officer of the college delivered instructions with regard to NCC.

Mr. Prashath Rai Dept of BBA rendered prayer. Mrs Bharathi S Rai, student welfare officer, welcomed and compered the programme.
