Mangaluru, Aug 16, 2022 : "Salute our nation as it is the pride of all."

It was a red-letter day in the history of India, when the country got its freedom on August 15th 1947. Every Indian celebrates this memorable day with great pomp and show every year. This year as India unfurls the 75th Independence Day celebration, at St Agnes Preparatory School the tiny tots showed their patriotism too by giving a spectacular performance.

The Invitees were Chief Guest Dr. Prajna Ana Pinto, the Principal Sr. Maria Gracilda AC and the coordinator Sr. Lorna Mary who were also welcomed by the tiny tots with their tiny marching steps.

The programme began with the prayer service by the students, the children dressed as National leaders spoke a few words. Feeling of Mother India was awakened through a mesmerizing patriotic song. A spectacular dance performance was put up by the tiny tots depicting patriotism. A tableau was also presented in remembrance of the feast of Our Lady of Assumption.

The Chief guest in her speech gave a beautiful message on freedom fighters and praised the students for their brilliant performance.

The school Principal too spoke a few words on the importance of our national flag and significance of each colour and expressed gratitude to all for putting up a beautiful performance.

Teacher Mary compered the programme; teacher Jyosna proposed the vote of thanks expressing gratitude for taking part on this wonderful day.

"Freedom is nothing but a chance to be better."
