Mangaluru, June 5 : NCC aims at developing character , discipline and selfless service among the youth. Keeping to all these ideals, the NCC wing of St Theresa’s School took part in the ‘World Environment Day’ program in the school campus on 5th June 2022 at 10:30 am. The program was attended by the school Principal Sr . Lourdes, Subhedar Sandeep, JCO Subhedar Jeevan , Naik Subhedar Patil, Other PI staff along with Miss Ashal (the NCC caretaker) and 25 Junior army wing NCC cadets . All the cadets were divided into 6 groups and planted 1 Ashoka tree , 3 Jamun trees , 1 Hole Dasavala plant and l Neem tree in the school CO-CO ground.

The theme for this year is ‘Only one Earth ‘. The NCC cadets of the school promised to celebrate, protect and restore our planet. The program concluded by singing the NCC song. Refreshments were served to the attendees.

It was a successful day and the students went back home feeling happy that they have done their share in keeping the earth ‘Green’.
