Mangaluru, June 4 : "Behind every young child who believes in himself is a parent who believed first."

St Agnes CBSE school organised a two days session for the parents on 24th and 25th May, 2022. The selective topic was “Competency Based Learning (NEP) New Education Policy". A good number of parents from grade I to X attended the session. The session was batchwise systematically conducted.

Mr B.G Bhaskar was the resource person from Ratna Sagar Pvt Ltd. He is an Academician Practising psychologist and a Motivational Speaker with 20 and more years of experience in the educational field and has excelled in giving training to teachers, students and parents across India. He has a number of degrees to his credit namely M.Sc., M.Ed., M.Phil., PhD and MBA, MSc (Psy) and has also presented papers at National and International level.

He gave a brief insight about the topic and educated the parents on various challenges of the new education system and each parent's role in shaping the future of the child. The key highlights of the session were activity-based learning to be encouraged where marks are just an indication for learning, to have constant interaction with children and to closely identify the strength and weakness of the child. To encourage the child in choosing the right combination of subjects rather than to show the parent's wish, so also to create a suitable environment for his/her holistic development and well-being was brought forth to the parents.

The session was successful with parents’ enthusiastic involvement in various activities conducted by the speaker. Through this interactive session the speaker tried to touch those aspects of life as parents one need to do. On the whole a well-coordinated session by the school and teachers.

The management is grateful for this important session and congratulates the parents for all the effort they put in the child. Also encouraging the school to conduct timely sessions to the parents and students.

"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams."
