Moodbidri , May 29 : Carmel School Moodbidri had organized various seminars for the teachers for one week from 23rd May to 27th May 2022. The school Principal Sr. Jyothi Saldanha welcomed and thanked all the Resource persons of the workshops with her gracious presence.

A talk on childhood psychiatric disorder was conducted By Mrs Reema D’Souza (Counsellor). The session commenced by invoking God’s blessings with a prayer song. The seminar focused on various childhood psychiatric disorders. Teachers were enlightened to understand each child to handle with utmost care.

On the same day, a talk on positive mindset was taken by the Vice Principal Sr. Premal A.C. Three major points were discussed, that is Positivity, Focus and Confidence.

There was a Workshop on Social Science by Sr. Elena. The objective of the workshop was to enhance the skills of preparing a lesson of social science. It was an Interactive and enlightening workshop.

A talk on Empowered teachers for challenging times was delivered by Dr Sr. Jeswina A.C. The objective of this session was to develop the qualities of being a “good teacher”. Teachers were made to realise that teaching is a noble vocation.

The workshop on Reading Skills Aloud was organized. The Resource person for this workshop was Sr. Maria Shubha A.C. The details of the workshop entailed the learning objectives to achieve competency in reading. Various components of reading were discussed in detail. The workshop focused on various effective teaching of language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing). The session was interesting and knowledgeable.

Workshop on Mathematics was conducted by the Mathematics faculty. Strokes and Numerical concepts were taught.

The workshops organized throughout the week were fruit yielding.
