Mangaluru, Apr. 25 : “A farewell does not have to be a goodbye, but could also mean that we will miss you until we meet again”.

It was indeed an emotional day for the entire Lourdite family as we bid farewell to the four beautiful stars Mr Ivan Mascarenhas, Mrs Metilda Pinto, Mrs Theresa A’lmeida and Mr Maxim D’Souza on 22nd April 2022.

The programme began invoking God’s blessings led by Mr Roshan Cordeiro and team. Ms Leena Sequeira welcomed the dignitaries and the entire gathering.

“Appreciation can make a day and even change life”. So on behalf of the Lourdite community Mr Roshan Cordeiro, Ms Lavita D’souza, Ms Alica D’silva and Mr Rohan Sequeira expressed their words of appreciation and gratitude. Later the outgoing staff were felicitated by Manager Rev. Dr John Baptist Saldanha, Principal Rev. Fr Robert D’souza and Vice Principal Ma’am Belita Mascarenhas.

In his speech Principal Rev. Fr Robert D’souza said it is a great blessing to be in an educational institution. He said the four stars are young at heart, peaceful and have touched human lives and influenced many students. He thanked them for always standing for the Institution and for their contribution in the growth of the Institution. He thanked them for their dedicated and committed service, and wished them good luck in their future endeavours.

Rev. Dr John Baptist Saldanha addressed the gathering and said all the four outgoing staff members had unique qualities in them and urged the Lourdite family to remember each one of them in their prayers. He also requested the staff members to keep in touch with the outgoing staff by visiting them once in a while. He blessed each one of them and congratulated them for their achievement.
“Expressing the gratitude is like a cup filled with joy”. Words of gratitude towards the institution were rendered by Sir Ivan Mascarenhas and Ma’am Metilda, followed by a wishing song by Sir Roshan Cordeiro and team.

Ma’am Lydia D’Souza compered the whole programme.

The programme concluded with vote of thanks followed by refreshments.
