Mangaluru, Feb 28 : Jeevandhara Social Service Trust, Kulshekar organised the Food Kit distribution programmes at St Raymond’s High School, Vamanjoor,  Infant Mary’s Orphanage, Kulshekar and Holy Angels Hr. Pry School, Permannur with the financial assistance by Snehasadan, a unit of Sneha Charitable Trust of Camillians, Kaikamba. It was funded by Buddhist TZU CHI Foundation.

In his opening message Fr Teji Thomas, the Director of Snehasadan highlighted the need to protect oneself from Covid-19 and to take precautionary measures. He also requested the beneficiaries to be grateful to the funding agency who has sponsored financially to obtain food kits and clothes. He appreciated the Bethany Sisters for their collaboration in Educating the sick children cared for by Snehasadan for the past 20 years. Sr Anna Maria applauded the Director and the staff of Snehasadan for their humanitarian services rendered to the people of Dakshina Kannada from 1997 onwards. For the past one year the Trust has been involved in distributing food kits, medicine and clothes in different parts of Karnataka and 12 other states of India. Rev Fr Cyprian Pinto, the Parish Priest of St Sebastian Church Permannur addressed the beneficiaries saying that they need to be grateful and to be generous in sharing their gifts with others. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Nearly 300 poor people from the surroundings of Kulshekar , Vamanjoor and Permannur were distributed food kits and 150 St Raymond’s High School children were given clothes. Sr Vidya Pinto, the Headmistress of St Raymond’s High School welcomed the guests and the beneficiaries. Sr Severine Fernandes the Headmistress of Holy Angels Hr. Pry School, Permannur thanked the organisers. Fr Jomin, the administrator of Snehasadan who organised the procurement and local arrangements was present. Sr Ida Janet, the Director of Jeevandhara Centre, Sr Leera Maria, the Headmistress of Sacred Heart High School, Kulshekar and Sr Shubha, the Headmistress of St Joseph School graced the occasion. The schools staff and Jeevandhara Social Service Trust staff helped in distribution of Food kits and clothes.
