Vamanjoor, Dec 15 : Young people should be at the forefront of global change and innovation. To educate and empower young minds in the political arena, a day's seminar was organized on December 15, 2023 for the St Raymond's PU College students. Rev. Dr. Maxim Dias SJ, Associate Professor, International relations, peace and public policy, St Joseph's University, Bengaluru was the resource person of the day.

The inception seminar focused to create awareness among youth regarding their role in nation building, election process, duty and responsibility towards nation, active participation in politics etc. The seminar was thought provoking, stimulating students to think and discuss their approach to politics, existing challenges and threats to democracy etc.

The role of the youth in nation building is very crucial since they have the ability to create an identity for themselves and move the nation forward. Hence it was the need of the hour to educate students of 16 -18 age group on the topic youth democracy.

Programme was well directed by Sr. Anita Lydia BS, Principal, St. Raymond's PU College. Mrs. Avita Menezes compered the programme. Ms. Prajna Fernandes welcomed the gathering. Ms. Radha proposed the vote of thanks. Programme was successful with the guidance of the Principal and support of faculty members.
