The Junior Investiture Ceremony of St Theresa’s School for the academic year 2023-2024 was held with great zeal and dignity on 8th February 2023. The Chief Guest of the day was Dr Tobin Joseph, professor and head of department of Medical Surgical Nursing at Indira Nursing College, Kerala and also the Vice Principal of Indira Nursing College, Kerala. The School Principal Sr Lourdes, Vice Principal Sr Caron and the PTA Vice President Mrs Nilofer Saldanha were the other dignitaries present for the occasion.
The investiture Ceremony began with the guard of honour led by the school band. The programme commenced with invoking God's blessings through a prayer song. The school Vice Principal welcomed the Chief Guest and the gathering. This was followed by a spectacular March Past of the outgoing cabinet members. The Handing over ceremony was systematically arranged, where the dignitaries of the day along with the primary teachers conferred sashes on the newly appointed cabinet members who were ready to shoulder their new responsibilities. The outgoing cabinet members were given a certificate in recognition of their service to the school. The Principal then administered the oath to the new cabinet members who pledged to give their best in the functioning of the school activities. The new cabinet members along with the students sung the School Anthem as a sign of love and loyalty to the school. The dignitaries, teachers and parents wished the newly elected cabinet members success in their respective duties entrusted to them. A marvellous dance by the students entertained the audience after the formal wishing. The Chief Guest addressed the gathering and wished the new cabinet members all the success. The PTA Vice President offered a memento to the Chief Guest as a token of appreciation. Cahil the outgoing Head Boy and Angel, the incoming Head Girl spoke words of gratitude.
Prizes were awarded to the two best houses. Mrs Sarita, a faculty member proposed the vote of thanks. The program ended with the singing of the National Anthem.
