Mangaluru, July 6: Environment Day / Vanamahosava was observed and various types of plants were distributed to the people at Spandana Trust Infant Mary’s Convent Jeppu, Managaluru on July 6, 2019

About 300 people participated in the programme. Rev. Sr. Marcelline Braggs presided over the programme Rev. Fr. Richard D’ Souza the Director, Canara Communication centre Mangaluru was the Chief Guest of the programme. Sr. Helen Fernandes the Admistrator of the Spandana Trust were on the dais.

The programme started with the prayer song and Mrs. Hilda welcomed the gathering. Mr. Victor Vas introduced the Guests of the day.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Rev. Fr. Richard D’ Souza spoke at the occasion that we may celebrate Environment day / Vanamahosava and we forget completely, but we have to take care of the plant. Today the nature is destroyed that is why we are facing water crisis and other problems. We complain there is no place to plant the plants but if we have place in our heart and determination we can plant plants and grow the forest which will help us to maintain equilibrium of the nature.

Symbolically Rev. Sr. Marcelline Braggs and Rev. Fr. Richard D’ Souza planted the plants and distributed the plants to the people present. The programme was compered by Mrs. Margaret and Vote of thanks by Mrs. Surekha.
